Cultivation instruction

Indoor Planting: Because the bulbs are tender and flower best when crowded, container growing is probably best. The bulbs may need to be re potted every 2 to 3 years.

Plant outside: Grow in containers, tubs and borders. The soil needs to be cultivated to a depth of 15cms and the bulb planted so nose of bulb is just above soil level. Grow in the very sunny parts of the garden or place containers accordingly. They will not over winter outside unless your garden is well protected. Lift after the flowers and leaves have dried back and dust bulbs with yellow sulphur. Keep bulbs over winter in a cool dry, frost free position before planting again the following spring.

Care Tips:

After flowering the leaves stay for many months and are also in themselves very attractive. Best grown indoors in pots and left undisturbed for many years.

Pests and disease, this variety is generally problem free.

Use root grow to help the bulbs develop root growth quicker.
