Description
Rolf Fiedler is a superb variety of iphieon with lovely pure white flowers.
It has been awarded a Garden Merit (AGM) by the RHS for its all round garden performance.
Iphieons are also known as the Spring starflower and are quite frost hardy and naturalise well over time. Ipheion are also low maintenance so do not need deadheading or weeding! The leaves give off a faint odour of onion when brushed against.
Ipheion are very attractive hardy plants from South America.
Cultivation Instructions:
Bulbs should be planted 6-8cm deep and 6cm apart in a well drained soil. They can be planted in heavier soils, just add a bit of grit to the hole before planting to aid drainage.
