A great collection of dahlias but also a surprise as they are randomly chosen, but they are all individually named. Dahlias provide ideal colour for any garden and are easy to grow. Importantly remember to protect young shoots from slugs and snails. They are best started off indoors from February to March and planted out after the fear of frost has passed which is nomally late March to April. If planting straight into the garden wait until April when the soils have warmed up, store the tuber until then in a frost free, cool area. When planting in the garden do not plant into freshly manured areas but of course remember to feed them when the plants have shoots over 15cms.
