Description

This is a gorgeous daffodil, the flowers of Frosty Snow start off as a pure snow white with a lemon cup. The flowers of Frosty snow will mature to give white flowers with a yellow rim. Large cupped daffodils look great in all garden settings and will come back each year.

Cultivation instructions

Large cupped daffodils are mid season flowering and will come back for many years. Before planting cultivate the soil to a minimum depth of 15-20cms. In heavier soils add in grit or well rotted humus matter to improve the drainage. Plant bulbs 15cms deep and 10-15cms apart with the best effect achieved by growing in groups of 5 or more. Daffodils are really versatile because they can be grown in containers aswell as being suited for many soil types and areas in the garden. To ensure they come back year after year they need to be fed during the flowering and leaf stage. Ideal foods are well rotted manures, tomato feed and bone meal. After a number of years they will need to be lifted and divided before re-planting. This is best done after flowering when the leaves start to turn brown.

Care tips:

Do not cut off or tie up the leaves because this will not allow the bulbs to take in nutrients for the following years growth.

These daffodils are ideal to grow with mid season tulips such as Triumph or Darwin tulips.

They can be grown in containers as well as in the garden and can be left to naturalise for a number of years. Will provide great spring colour when planted with hyacinths
