Cultivation instructions
This combination will work really well in containers or at the front of borders. For the best effect plant in large groups. Grow in soils that are free draining and that will be in the sun for a good part of the day. Ensure the soil is kept full of nutrients during the growing season and if needed feed with bonemeal or water in tomatoe food during the leaf and flower stage. Cultivate the soil well before planting to a depth of 15cms, plant Tulip bulbs 10cms deep and plant the crocus 5-8cms deep. Both planted 5-10cms apart. In containers the planting depth and distance can be reduced to 5cms deep and 5cms apart if required. It is traditional to plant tulips in October when the ground starts to cool down which is also ok for the crocus. However if you want to plant earlier it is not a problem as they will still flower in the spring.
Care tips:
Tip: Scatter bulbs over planting area and plant where they land for the most natural effect.
Will work really well when planted with other dwarf bulbs such as crocus and dwarf narcissi.
