Dahlia White Perfection

Description

Dahlia White Perfection has pure white flowers that as such are just stunning in any garden setting. Therefore the pure white flowers of Dahlia White Perfection will stand out when grown with lilies and gladioli. In addition this dahlia can be grown for cut-flower and accordingly works well in all garden types. Accordingly dahlia White Perfection is one of our most popular varieties because of its flower shape and colour.

Cultivation instructions

Plant Indoors: Dahlias are best started off indoors from January to March. Grow in well drained compost with 5-8cms of soil above the tuber.

Plant Outside: When all signs of frost have gone tubers grown inside can be planted out. Frosts have normally stopped towards the end of March and into April. Alternatively plant tubers straight into well prepared soils in late March to April. Soils should be cultivated to a depth of 20cms if possible to allow good root development. Plant tubers with 5cms of soil above them and if possible add some well rotted manure to cultivated soils. Protect early growth from slugs and snails and remove dead heads to get the best from them.  Ideal foods are well rotted manures, Tomato feed and bone meal.

Tips:

Keep young shoots of the tubers protected from slugs and snails.

Do not plant into soils that have recently been fertilised as this will damage the sensitive roots of the tubers
