Toto is a pure white multi-headed dwarf daffodil and is excellent for growing in containers or in the garden. Grow Toto in combination with hyacinths, daffodils and tulips of the same height and flowering period.
AGM = Award of Garden Merit by the RHS.
Dwarf narcissi are ideal for growing in containers or at the front of borders because of their height. They will naturalise very well and as such will produce an abundance of flowers for many years. Cultivate soils to a depth of 15cms and plant bulbs 8-10cms deep and 5cms apart in groups of 10 or more for the best effect. Grow in soils that are well drained. In heavier soils add grit and humus matter during cultivation to help with drainage and plant bulbs slightly shallower. In lighter soils ensure they have plenty of humus matter which will provide food and also retain water. They will benefit from using bulb starter when first planting. Feed during the leaf and flower stage to ensure the bulbs are fully nourished to provide the following years growth.
Narcissi/daffodils are divided into many divisions and split corona varieties are ever increasing in popularity. They can be grown in containers as well as in the garden and can be left to naturalise for a number of years.
Ideal foods are well rotted manures, tomato feed and bone meal.
